The Cinta Ria @ DJ in Damansara Jaya is a result of a passion for food. The restaurant cum cafe is run by siblings Catherine and Christopher Chin.

“My parents have been in the F&B line for more than 15 years and my brother and I used to help them at the restaurant. As a result we used to spend a lot of time together and this gave us exposure to the business,” said Catherine Chin, the catering manager for the outlet.
However, Chin and her brother Christopher did not think that they would follow in their parents' footstep eventually.
She studied accountancy while her brother took up mass media.
They even worked in their chosen fields for a few years after completing their studies.
“Something was missing and we both felt it. We were not doing what we really wanted to do.''
“We both decided to open our own restaurant - just like our parents did,” she said.
Operating a food outlet is not a new experience for them. They had earlier secured a catering contract with an international school in Damansara and they were used to providing for a big group.

It is served piping hot with roast potatoes and salad. The restaurant, named after the family name Chin, offers a combination of local and western cuisine.
One of the signature dishes is oven grilled chicken which is served with mashed potatoes and salad.
Christopher said the boneless chicken is marinated with his own blend of spices, which include thyme and oregano, overnight.
Another favourite dish at Cinta Ria@DJ is baked chicken lasagna. This is made using ground chicken instead of beef and is served piping hot with roast potatoes and salad.

The restaurant also offers a variety of light snacks like yam cakes and sandwiches.
